The Benicia Teen Center (BTC), powered by the Kyle Hyland Foundation for Teen Support, is located at 1135 Church Street. BTC, “your home away from home,” provides a place for ALL teens to hang out and enjoy themselves in a stress-free and creative environment. BTC is a drop-in center open to all Benicia residents or BUSD students 13 to 19 years old, and their guests. BTC is open every school day from Benicia High School’s dismissal until 5:30 pm, with extended hours for special events.

BTC is located in a 4 bedroom/2 bath house and has separate spaces for music (guitars, keyboard, DJ system, etc.), art, studying, movie watching, and mentoring/counseling. The large garage houses game tables (ping pong, pool and foosball) and video gaming. There is also a large backyard with a garden, patio, and basketball hoop and will be utilized for outdoor games and activities. Finally, there is a full kitchen offering a low-cost snack bar. Free WiFi and Chromebooks are available, and the Center is an ideal location for teens to work on group projects.

BTC will be offering other services/classes such as Teen Forums, cooking classes, cake decorating classes, career exploration workshops, tutoring, and much more! BTC is also an excellent location for BHS clubs to have meetings and events.

If you have any ideas or suggestions of classes or services for BTC please
