Behavioral Health Program

Behavioral Health Program

KHF launched our new Behavioral Health program in August, 2024. These services are offered free of charge through funding received from the State of California.

KHF is partnering with the Vallejo City Unified School District and Benicia Unified School District to offer peer mentoring and therapeutic services at the secondary level during school hours at Vallejo High School, Jesse Bethel High School, and Liberty High School. Our goal is to help better support students by filling any potential gaps in mental health services at the secondary level. In addition to providing another individual who can support the youth in need, this program will allow VCUSD and BUSD Wellness Center personnel to provide more intensive support to youth in crisis including coordination and referral to onsite therapists.

KHF is also offering individual as well as group therapy for teens in Benicia as well as their families. These services are currently being provided at the Hyland Teen Center of Benicia for youth 12-19 years of age who are Benicia residents or are students of the Benicia Unified School District.

If you are interested in obtaining services in Vallejo, please reach out to your school administrator. For questions about the program and services in Benicia, please contact KHF Executive Director, Barbara Gervase at [email protected] or (707)301-8312.
