Hyland Teen Center of Benicia

Hyland Teen Center of Benicia is open on school days
Mon-Thu 3:00-5:30pm and Fri 1:00-5:30pm.
Please note there is a special schedule for summer (See events page/calendar)

The Hyland Teen Center of Benicia (HTC) is a drop-in center where teens can play music, do art, watch movies, do homework, and play pool, ping pong, etc. In addition, counseling and mentoring services will be offered to those teens that need additional support. The Teen Center is “a safe place for the Teens to fall”, a place where they can spend time with their friends as well as caring adults in the community.

The HTC is open to all Benicia residents or Benicia Unified School District students in grades 8-12 (13 – 18 years old). The teen center is located in a 4 bedroom/2 bath house and has separate spaces for music (guitars, keyboard, DJ system, etc.), art, studying, movie watching, and mentoring/counseling. The large garage houses game tables (ping pong, pool and foosball) and video gaming. There is also a large backyard with a garden, patio, and basketball hoop and will be utilized for outdoor games and activities. Free WiFi and Chromebooks are available, and the Center is an ideal location for teens to work on group projects.

The HTC , “your home away from home”, provides a place for ALL teens to hang out and enjoy themselves in a stress-free and creative environment.

Services at the HTC are made possible by funding from the County of Solano and the City of Benicia.
